Development affecting Strathkinness

Headon Developments obtained planning permission to build 30 houses including 8 affordable ones in December 2007. Their original  planning application can be seen at fifedirect.org

The site plan submitted can be seen here.

In September 2008 an additional application was made for an amendment to elevational treatment of plots 1-8, to add rear extensions to plots 2,3,4 and 6 and add porches to plots 2,3,6 and 7. Click here for details of the Amendment which at the time of writing is Pending Consideration.

As a result of the current collapse in house sales no houses will be built on this site until the market position improves. We have been promised that the site will be kept in a tidy condition.

On Wednesday 2nd December 2009 Mr Headon had a demonstration in the Church Hall of some modifications to his plans which consist of a small increase in the number of houses on the Sunnyside frontage of the site. The revised application had not by that time been submitted for approval and a link to the new plans will be put here when they are available.

Mr Headon indicated that he hoped to recommence work on the site in the Spring of 2010.
